NCRB rotary actuators have been designed to eliminate the “Vane
Leakage” inherent in many actuators now in field use. This has
been accomplished by the design of a special “Vane Seal”
incorporating “rounded” corners rather than hard-to-seal square
corners. To complement this type of seal, a two piece die cast
body was developed to conform with the contour of the seal
profile. This seal design also provides an actuator requiring
low operating and start-up torques, smooth step-free operation
and long life expectancies in rugged service applications.
